Relive fascinating tales of history and bring them bang up to date!
Let's celebrate London's culture, vibe and history together! Face to face history talks are booking into 2027 with returning clients including U3A, Probus and WI. The talk about protest is eternally relevant as we consider what makes an effective protest and discover how London protests have shaped our history.
The "I Spy London" talk explores the idea that "truth is stranger than fiction" with tales of "derring do" during WWII involving dangerous secrets, double cross and endless games of risk. Authors Ian Fleming and John le Carré use their intelligence service backgrounds to shape their Cold War novels, whilst modern spy novels tap into the ever-evolving underworld of espionage where enemy states and terrorism continue to pose major threats to our democracy.

I also offer select bespoke private group walking tours twinned with the history lectures, ranging from the tales behind the gin craze to the two-thousand year old story of London through the ebb and flow of Father Thames.

New walking tour "Hogarthian" explores London through the life and works of William Hogarth. Step into his pictures and get a feel for Georgian London at the height of the gin craze! Contact me to find out more.
