A History of Glorious Gardens
Discover little known gardens of Westminster and Lambeth and the City of London in two different tours!
Our Westminster Tour takes in quiet corners of well-known beloved gardens looking at them in a different light. From Embankment Gardens and their memorials, to the history of St James's Park and it's pelicans! We end our tour at the Garden Museum next to Lambeth Palace where we'll see and hear about the legacy of our greatest gardeners.
Join me for a City of London tour like no other - you'll be amazed by the little pocket-sized, historic oases of peace in this bustling city. They represent re-generation after the destruction of our capital city during World War II. Wren's churches, Roman baths, Medieval vineyards, together with the magnificent St Paul's Cathedral frame our hidden gardens and we end our tour 65 metres above street level in an exquisite roof garden where we contemplate the city and it's secret green spaces which re-generate our spirits.
